Property Tax Foreclosure Sales

Under and by virtue of an order of the Cabarrus County, NC, Superior Court, the undersigned Tax Collector, through her legal representative will offer for sale and sell for cash, to the last and highest bidder at public auction, at the date, time, and location indicated below, the real estate as described herein.

This sale will be made subject to all outstanding county, city, fire district taxes and all local improvement assessments against the described property not included in the judgment.

The legal Foreclosure process for a property, on average, takes 9-12 months from start to finish. Once foreclosure is initiated on a property, a Certified Demand letter is sent to the owner of record. The owner is then given 30 days to make payment. If there is no response to the Demand letter, a Title search is initiated. Title search can take between 60-90 days to complete. The Complaint filing and Judgment is the next step and averages 120 days. The sale of the property usually takes 30 days to complete (including the upset bid period) and the Closing will be 30-45 days after the completed sale. Some properties may move at a slower pace, dependent on contact being made with owners. This is an average timeframe and is not guaranteed.
